Struck gold in NYC.

$14 an drink.

ORVW

Heavy vanilla flavor.

Bottle is 1/2 full, I offered him $120 for the rest. He’s thinking about it

It’s not half bad, and for sure has a heavy vanilla flavor.

Heaven hill has a really solid line of moderately priced barrel proofs going with EC, Larceny, and Bernheim. I hope they add a rye to that line. Rittenhouse or pikesville would be fantastic.

Jason (Mash & Drum) had an interview with the brand ambassador of Heaven Hill this week and one of the things he asked him was about a barrel proof rye. It wasn’t part of the posted interview as he said he had to delete it, but it didn’t sound like it was in the works.

Well that's disappointing, but thanks for the info. If they can make a 20 year old mellow corn, I'm not giving up on the rye.

Anyone get a Peerless DO from Maisano's? This is supposedly the first private pick they've done.

1pd. The label has been through some tough times, but it still tastes good.

That’s in the eye of the beholder

Didn’t document any of mine, but trust assured I’m 4 deep of the good stuff (last pour was Hirsch The Cask)

Hirsch (cognac finish) is incredible. I had to pick it up so it wouldn't be as convenient to drink.
