I've seen Barrell seagrass (silver) and dovetail (silver) for 210 locally. I know it's a little over budget, but checks the box for high quality. It comes in a nice case as well. Ideal for gifting.

If Laffy is anything like NOLA and the north shore, this stuff is long gone unfortunately.

There were a few on the shelf at a local store a couple weeks ago. Not sure if they've been picked up or if they are sitting out there. Also saw an Angel's Envy Cask Strength at a different store recently.

Any recommendations for something that would be appreciated by someone like that? Willing to spend up to $200.

particularly the Discovery series. This is very much overlooked here, because it just hit shelves in our market. It will become a board favorite soon though

not by me. I have both the discovery and collab.

I was aware of them getting them in Texas and Florida prior.

Batch 2 is sweeter and has a little more oak. However, batch 1 checks all the boxes for my palate. I really like the spice.

2pd is the original recipe (obsv)

If he likes Scotch, there are a ton of options that will actually be on the shelf.

If you don't know if they like scotch, stick to bourbon.

Calumet 15 and Bardstown Discovery can be found

A restaurant in Lakeview Nola, BBQ heavy (good too) decided to partner with a distillery to finish the barrels down here.

It's unknown who it is, but the bottle is priced at $60 and delish. Possible Heaven Hill per some peeps.

Look them up on FB, they are releasing two more bottles, one being wheated.

Visited Bardstown Bourbon Company this past summer and became a big fan. Went buy the Discovery 8 as soon as it arrived here. Honestly, I find it to be good not great. Discovery 7 which I brought home from the trip is fantastic. Everything I had there was great.
