Got it from Seelbachs. Any of the Rolling Fork stuff they have picked has been very good.

I'd like to hear your impressions of the RB 27!

The most unique whiskey I’ve ever tasted. If I didn’t know what I was drinking I would never guess it was a whiskey. I would genuinely have no idea what it would be. It’s very tropical leaning heavily on a coconut vibe, and it has serious funk to it. Reminds me of a strong blue cheese or Gorgonzola.

I liked it a lot. While not my favorite whiskey, it’s one of my favorite whiskey experiences if that makes sense. I look forward to revisiting this thing in the future.

All this RB talk today got me driving around town for the first time in a while..Not in $550 mood, but $115 for this one should get me back on the Irish train...

Assuming that distilled in Indiana?

Evening baws, FPD. Wish this bottle tasted as good as it looks

I'm three or four pours into mine. It's a must buy for RB fans. I'm glad they went with a higher proof.

Nulu is something I've also not been able to get into. To be fair I've only tried a couple of them.

1pd is something I probably wouldn't have bought for SRP, but is enjoyable.

Saw one of those on the shelf and passed. Hard to justify the price for the proof for me, on something that I haven’t tried.

If I’ve tried it and really enjoy it, that’s a different animal.

The label doesn’t say but it is thick and coats the mouth with butterscotch, My understanding is the angles got a lot of shares and not much made it to the state. Hocus will have it

That was the case here. I had a pour at a restaurant and was really surprised how much I liked it. I'm the same way with proof, but wouldn't have guessed 90 in a blind. It's more like 100. I get more Kentucky than Indiana and the age is apparent. If you don't like oak, steer clear.

This bourbon thing is addicting. More so on the go-out-and-buy a name than it is knowing what I enjoy. I have always enjoyed an occasional old fashion.

Here in the last two months I had a bottle of Blanton gifted to me. Since then, no thanks to this room, I know a lot of names and not much else. Yet every chance I get, I am on the lookout for a bottle.

Recent purchases: Willett Rye (harsh to me.), Pikesville (I like this), 1792 bottled in bond, Larceny, Buffalo Trace x 2, Old Elk double wheated, Town Branch, Four Roses single barrel, and today went and bought a Calumet 14 year, and Wolcott, and Old Forester 1910. My head is spinning, and it isn't the alcohol.

My name is Kent and I have a problem!! How do I stop?

I am about to try the Old Forester 1910.

1910 is my favorite from OF. Typically the 1920 would be given the proof, but there's just something special about the flavor profile.

2pd

How does it compare to an EC 18?

That’s a good one. I can see the harsh comment on Willet rye as it’s a more rye forward rye than Pikesville. Maybe give Wild Turkey Rare Breed rye a shot if you like pikesville.

Thanks. I am enjoying the 1910. Have either of you tried the Calumet 14? It is a buyer remorse for me. It was $110. I am not spending more on bourbon than golf and shooting. lol.

Fpd and spd

Side by side hazmat. 26 year Riverbend pick and 27 year Obtanium. Riverbend is a clear winner to me.
