I just can't get into Lone Elm stuff, wish I could since they're just a couple miles away from me.

A lil tasty BT pick. You are right Epic , she’s a fruit bomb

Can't go wrong with Maisanos or EC.

Everything I want in an amazing say sipper. Light and fruity.

Classic bourbon notes, but a bit rough around the edges (135 proof will do that), I think it’ll open well though.

I was a little surprised by the age, but glad to see higher proofs emerging with the private selections. I just picked up the 9 yr, 139 proof from acquistipace yesterday and Lincoln road's last weekend. Looking forward to cracking those soon

LUNCHBOX brought the Ricky’s pick over the other night, and I did not like it. Others did, but something about it was off for me. I normally enjoy ECBP, but as toof points out it may be the age. Also could be just that particular barrel has something to it that doesn’t agree with my palate.

Customer brought this in for a tasting last night. Little more sherry than I like
Also been playing with some gin, gin sour was surprisingly good

I opened up the Aquistapace pick a night or two ago, 139 proof and 9 years old. It's pretty rough to borrow Epic's description. The nose is very interesting relative to other "standard" ECBPs I have. I do think it will open up though as it breathes. I enjoy the Ricky's pick more than when I first opened it.

What is the word on Starlight? Which one should I be looking for?

Starlight?
I have five of them, and they're all good. The base product is just really solid, and they have a lot of finishing options. It's mostly 4-5 year old juice, but it has more depth than you'd expect. I forgot how many hundreds of acres they have, but it's a huge farm, and they produce all sorts of stuff.
I use the double oak all the time for cocktails. The port and cigar batches are probably my favorites, with the sherry and honey rye just behind.
