1PD is a bottle kill of one of my absolute favorites. Knocking it down with a Carrillo while starting the crawfish

Still haven’t had a bad or average Old Carter bottle

I still have yet to do whiskey and crawfish. I need and try to snap out my old ways with beer and crawfish. It’s hard to beat the Busch light/crawfish combo.

Gift from the wife for our anniversary. So stoked about it I did not ask about the cost. Was recommended by the owner of local liquor store who is a big bourbon fan. Store has probably the biggest bourbon selection I have seen anywhere. Smooth nice flavor.

Good news and bad news:
The barrel is absolutely delicious. The sherry finsh interacts really nicely with the rye.
However, the barrel is getting shipped back to Mormon country...they applied the wrong stickers on the bottle it seems. We are not a large, Texas-based chain.
I will update when I know a timeline.

First time checking in on this thread. I’ve started to get into bourbon whiskeys over the past year because beers just do something weird to my stomach. My wife picked me up some Buffalo Trace (all you refined palate folks hold your comments) for my birthday this weekend because it’s my go-to and I’ve been out for a while. I can’t believe what’s supposed to be a ~$30 bottle is now on limited distribution and will cost you $50 at a package store, if they even have it in stock. If any of you fine gents have an alternative I’d appreciate a recommendation! I’m going to start getting into nicer stuff soon, but for now BT is what I enjoy most for the price…when I can get it.
