I think you got confused because he had 3 bottles in the picture. The Buffalo Trace is irrelevant. He's asking which should he keep and which should he gift between the Penelope Toasted and the Barrell Private Release.
I would keep the Barrell, but I'm sure others may disagree with that choice.

Yeah it definitely was not clear then. It came off as him asking which of the three he should keep or gift. I simply laid out the comparison of the three without any sarcasm, but apparently he's sensitive about his choices and took it as such.
Personally I would keep the Penelope, but I'm not big on the barrel releases. Plus these are two completely different taste profiles. Toasted is offputting to some.

I'd flip a coin they are both good to me. Was one harder to get than the other? Can you replace the one you give away at a later date so you can ultimately have both? That's how I would look at it.
