Anyone make it to a Breaux Mart today? Dropped my daughter off and it popped up on my Facebook. Made a quick stop and got a OWA at msrp at the Metairie location.

Drove past a Breaux Mart earlier today and told my wife somewhat jokingly that they don't usually have a great selection. Guess I should have stopped in

Got a CYPB at the metry location, then drove to magazine and got a stagg Jr. Was contemplating an old Carter but it was $175, CYPB at $48 was more palatable

Stagg was gone by 10:30, but a buddy got a EHT and his wife a Weller 12. Not a bad deal

Actually found a WT MK One on the shelf this afternoon (Rouses). Not cheap, but easier to justify with the holidays (as a Christmas gift to myself).Of course I've said that with a handful of other bottles already this season. I also picked up the peated finish HW double rye from Calandros earlier in the day.

No picture, but dipping back into the Aberlour A'bunadh tonight. I'm really enjoying it so far.

One of my favorite non-Islay whiskies. Also one of the smoothest drinking cask strength bottles I’ve ever had

It's delicious and certainly wouldn't guess the proof (over 120) blind.

What batch do you have?
I’ve got a bottle of batch 63. I’ve heard the batches in the 50s were just incredible.

Found 2 bottles of high west double rye at Total wine. They are limited release barrel picks for Calandros. No clue why they were at total wine. That normal? Anyway, finished 9 months in peated scotch barrel. Will this be any good?

Off for four days and had some wine and cigar by the fire, amazing steak dinner and settling in with this amazing rum. Notes of banana foster and caramel. Have a great Christmas fellas!

Just to clarify, you got a Weller CYPB for $48? That’s pretty amazing.

Not sure about it being normal but damn that sounds delicious. I wants!

2PD now on to the heavy toast, which I think is the better of the two
