You ever try the 15 yr Knob Creek? Was in a store today and they had 10 bottles on the shelf. I believe they were $120.

I would buy 1 15 year. Its a better whiskey, but not clear the shelf level. 12 is great for 60 bucks.

I made some Christmas old fashioneds for my Christmas party tonight and they were killer. Simple syrup with cinnamon, cardamon; allspice and cloves, bitters, rye and some mildly muddled cranberries and orange. Was killer!

I have had something similar but the simple syrup had some Thyme in addition to the cardamom. They used a cinnamon stick as garnish.
It was pretty good.

I actually found a bottle of eagle rare today, normal price as well.
Wasnt even looking it for it, just saw it.

Also got a bottle of Penelope barrel strength. I like the regular penelope and the barrel strength seems to be popular.

not as many flippers back then as you could just walk in most places and get what you wanted. But 2012 was the last year. I think sales started to increase in 2013 and then it increased every year after that.

Bought some raffle tickets at a new place in Pineville. I get called to say I won one group. Then told the bottle that made me buy the ticket was already gone. Makes no sense. Ended up with a bottle of Eagle Rare.
