Just got back from Zuppardos. Outside events were nice but the line to get in to buy bottles was insanely crazy. The auction for the Blantons Gold was just dumb. This craze has got to end. However….Lady Luck was with me tonight.

The best part about tonight was the samples in the parking lot. Waiting in a 300 person line to have a shot to buy something allocated does not appeal to me. Zuppardos brought more stuff out a little past midway of the line. Around 7:15 if you happen to be at the counter they brought more out. I’d be fine if I could just walk up, buy raffle tickets and then sample some bottles. First time I tried the Widow Jane 10yr and the Decadence tonight. Really liked the maple finish on the Decadence.

It was packed tonight. It has doubled each year in the number of people. On a good note I won the Old Forester set, 2 birthday bourbons (20, 21) and the 150 year anniversary.

I was impressed with the calumet 15, but only had one sample. Bought the Decadence last week and have had several pours. It's really good. I was a little worried it would be too sweet, but it's nicely balanced.
