Heaven Hill is currently closed because their employees are on strike ???? been on strike for a month now. We just drove by on our way to Willet and they’re all standing on the road holding signs.

Union workers, upset over the prospect of expanded weekend shifts, have manned picket lines at bottling and warehouse operations of Kentucky-based Heaven Hill Distillery,

Heaven Hill signaled that it wanted to assign new hires to nontraditional schedules that would include weekend work, Local 23D President Matt Aubrey said in a phone interview Monday. The company was vague about how widespread the weekend shifts would be and how it would affect existing workers if weekend shifts could not be covered by new employees, he said.

Ah, I thought the gift shop was still going. I know they still have had trucks leaving. I saw the picketers trying to block them

Yeah at the Willet tasting they said that they brought in marketing and accounting employees to work to lines to keep production running, but closed the gift shop and and cancelled all tours and tastings.

Which one did you prefer better? Woodford or Turkey? May only have time to stop at one on my way back from Lexington Sunday.

I can’t speak on the specific distilleries, but I would definitely choose Turkey based on the product.

Would definitely agree with that. I just heard Woodford is a little nicer, and I'll have the Mrs Ryno with me, why I asked.

It is. It's probably the second best tequila I've ever had, and it is $50. It's an absolute steal. My absolute favorite tequila is abandonado extra anejo, but that is not readily available. I get it from Specs in Houston when I go there or when my friend comes to visit. That one is $70. I have tried many tequilas, and these two are tops in my opinion.

I just saw your post. I really love fortalazia. The repasado is the smart pick. Anejo is $20 more and I have not had it so not sure if it’s worth the extra coin. Repasado is perfect for sippin

Turkey had the better pours, Woodford was a full tour. Turkey was more low key, but Woodford had the nicer grounds. Not sure what Mrs. Ryno would prefer

Also, not 1PD...Blanton’s OF
