There seems to be one down voter on a certain blantons store pick. Hmmm...I wonder it could be?

They hit mine with the Blantons tonight's and the last time I posted it.
What a sad life that person must have.

What would y'all recommend? 1 really good/hard to find bourbon? 2 good bourbons? A good scotch?
2 good bourbons: OF1920 and 4 Roses single barrel. That might be a little over $100
Good Scotch: Balvenie Caribbean Cask, just under $100
I’d go the two (or even 3) bottle route if you’re new to the game.
Russel’s reserve, basil Hayden’s, michters rye are all readily available at most stores, and they are all quality pours (especially for us poors).

Both great choices, but if you're new to the whisky game then I would pass on the Old Forester 1920. Stay away from the high proofs right now. That 4 Roses SIngle Barrel is one of the best buys for the price, but it's become very difficult to find lately.
I'll pose some suggestions categorized in Scotch, Irish and Bourbon for you, and you can decide. If you're just starting to dip your toes into these waters, I highly recommend grabbing an Irish. They are wonderfully easy to drink, and it's a great introduction to the whisky world.
Irish: Green Spot or Red Breast 12 (Spot is brighter flavored with lots of apple notes in it, whereas Breast is more like a butter cookie and creamier if that makes sense)
Scotch: Oban Distiller's Edition (this is on the fruitier/creamier side, and it's what turned me on to scotch... incredible stuff), or Springbank 10 (this has some mile smokiness to it but also has a certain funk that is difficult to describe. it is delicious and more adventurous)
Bourbon: 4 Roses Single Barrel, Pinhook orange wax (different name on bottle each year, but the orange is what you want), Elijah Craig (try and find store picks of these), Angel's Envy, Angel's Envy Rye (this is $80, but it drinks very sweet for a rye and is an incredible introduction into the whisky world)
Those bourbons range from $25 to $50, so you get more bang for your buck. You can probably swing one of those Irish and an Elijah Craig, but those two scotches are 100 range.

This makes me so sad. Doublewood was around $60 and Carribean Cask was around $80 just a few months ago. When Total Wine first opened in Metairie I scored the Carribean Cask for $54.
Now it's touching $100 and I just can't bring myself to buy another bottle at that price.

What would y'all recommend?
Somewhat hard to find, but not impossible.
An Eagle Rare store pick (or regular if you can’t find a store pick), and Wild Turkey Rare Breed Rye. That should be right around $100 (~$35 for the ER, ~$65 for the Rare Breed Rye).

Thank y'all for the recommendations
A quick online search in my area shows Sam's has Four roses single for $38. I'm definitely going with that one.
I'm still deciding on how to spend the remaining $60 or so.
Local Walmart has OF 1920 for $55. Local liquor store has Wild Turkey Rare Breed for the same, $55
I'll go look at other stores tomorrow that don't have their available inventory online.
