Probably my 5PD, just leaving the Juneteenth celebration downtown Lafayette (jk just ate at Vestal)

Rye is growing on me but I don't think the flavor profile is more unique than the bourbon

How was Vestal? We were thinking about going

I like the Stellum Rye better than this but this is a a different profile. Not as much the classic spice profile, bit more rich. both are great.

quote:this is the standard Bunna 18 offering. It's quite good. Got it last year for $115 which is great for a 18yr single malt. Took a price increase around town and is now $145
Sunday? Is that Bunnahabin? apparently LA does not get allocated that bottle. I have asked.

I will ask again. I was told it couldn't be had in LA, but I may be mistaken.

I'll be trying a pour of this tonight. Happy Father's Day to the dad's on the board.

I got a bottle of this. It's my first bottle of scotch (I've had drams of macallan 18 I have enjoyed) and I will have a first pour tonight. Happy Father's Day

You'll enjoy it! Aberlour produces some of the best Speyside whisky. The 18 is one of my all time favorites, but the 12 is always in my cabinet as a more regular pour.

It’s very good, this was our second time going. Our experience has been that the seafood has been better than the pork or steaks.
Best dishes that we’ve had:
Small plates:
Tuna Crudo
Crab Spaghetti
Carrots
Bread
Entrees:
Gulf fish
Whole fish
ETA: to be clear nothing has been bad, but the fish dishes stood out.

Happy Father’s Day guys
A bartender told me I should try an all chocolate bitters old fashion. So I’m giving it a whirl. Figure chocolate would go well with dessert

Happy Father’s Day!
That Aberlour 18 seemed like a good place to start.

Happy Father's day. Pretty good first impression. In general, I like whistlepig, but it's overpriced. Several store picks just dropped.
