I think this is my new favorite pour.

Found north may be my favorite distillery, although I am more partial to their non-rye

The high altitude series is phenomenal

Ok! Just got home and unpacked everything.

There are some interesting store picks. The store pick label on the OF Black is "Aliens Are Real".

The Knob Creek 10y we got signed by Noe.

The Weller Full Proof I negotiated in a liquor store down from $200 to $125.

All in all a great trip. We hit 12 distilleries and about 15 liquor stores, walked away with 37 bottles.

Nice haul. Just curious of your thought process on buying a couple of bottles that you can find just about anywhere?

The only four bottles that you can find where we live are the Old Forester 100 bottles the Buffalo Trace, and the KB10. One of them I grabbed because it was a cool store pick, the BT because I needed a bottle and it was at the distillery, and distillery price, and the KB was to get it signed.

South Bend, Indiana area.

Stopped at the Pilot gas station off the interstate in Kentwood today. Look at this ridiculousness. Quite the selection, but the prices are outrageous. I don’t know how good you can see the pic of the Weller prices.$170 for WSR, $250 for WFP and $300 for 12 year. They wouldn’t even list the price for the CYPB but I was told it was $999.99. Also, check out the price on that.EHT Small Batch

There was also a $300 Stagg…I didn’t bother asking the batch and an Elmer T Lee which I think was $250. The girls working there said an Indian guy (go figure) owns the place and all the bourbon just sits there because he prices it so high. I wanted to talk to him but he wasn’t there.

Have a few places around here like this. I believe they move the bottles online because they tend to slowly disappear.

Good gosh that is some gouging going on. Secondary isn't that high.

Dude…that’s way beyond secondary & I wouldn’t buy bourbon from price gougers like that. What an f’cking joke.
A local SuperOne had Eagle Rare for $45 (almost back to pre COVID price) & Weller Full Proof for $65, just as a comparison. Also, there’s a liquor store in freaking Maud, East Texas that Stagg Jr on the regular for $100. That’s still secondary, but I’ll pay that. Weller 12 I bought for near retail at a local Thrifty.
The one & only ElmerT that I’ll ever buy(cause it’s very Mid) was $85 outside Linden, TX Not worth near that.
