The best Willet juice is the juice they didn’t distill.

Idk, the willet juice Hirsch got is pretty damn good

Is it something Willet distilled or part of the regular stock they've made their name on?

I don't think it would be willet juice if it was just MGP sourced juice that willet used early on

What has rhe bigger impact. The distiller or the barrel/aging?

Some people say that the barrel imparts the most flavor, but I’m not sure how different barrels are from each cooperage. Kelvin is supposedly the “best”, but who knows. The mashbill, and yeast strain impart a heavy influence on the whiskey for sure.

Yeah I think it was like $62 out the door at Total Wine. It’s not bad… tastes like 4 year bourbon. I threw a couple of cubes in it and it seems to open it up some

Everything I've seen from distillers say the barrel is about 70 % of the flavor, though one downside from the explosion of bourbon/rye has been barrels from younger wood.

Pretty tasty for a low proof 95. I wish I had another.
