I was going to drink some bourbon but decided to snort some blow instead after watching that offensive performance.

I don’t give the best reviews on the nose it smells like a dessert. It definitely coats the palate and has just enough rye in it to give that hint of spice. The finish I get some tobacco vanilla and cinnamon. I give it a 8.5 out of 10 meaning it’s great and I would buy again. The only thing that I personally have at a 9 is Weller full proof and old forester birthday bourbon. But everyone has a different palate.

Anybody ever bought the Flaviar Whiskey Advent Calendar?

It gets a lot of hype but is it worth $240 + shipping = $302?

Less than 2 fifths (could have done bad math here...) for $300? Nah.

I did not see any exceptional US Bourbon/whiskey bottles. Most of those are shelf bottles.

Can’t speak for the Japanese or euro stuff.

It is a scotch heavy sampler but I may prefer scotch over bourbon but the 300 dollars is steep

I tasted their new collection last week, I was 15 Star's first stop when their VP arrived in state last week to launch the new line in the state. I liked the toasted and the extra aged over the small batch, but all of them were good, especially at the price point.

FYI, 15 Star will be back intown for Bourbon Fest in a couple of weeks and they will spend the evening before (Friday the 17th) at Diversion Pizza.

did not try the small batch. Breaking Bourbon did not seem impressed so I did not buy one.

I really enjoyed it, though I think I like the double Oaked slightly better. If I didn’t have so many unopened bottles of other things, I’d go pick another one up.
