This is sentimental. First bottle that started my whiskey journey is almost done. One more pour.

hard to pass up at $30 for a liter.
How is it?

I think you drank 1/2 bottle in those 5 pours.

Just making room for more. Too crowded over here.

I’ve always been a fan of standard Saz for a cheap pour, this just steps it up a bit. If it’s widely available, I’ll always keep a bottle on hand. Citrus, candy, a bit herbal on the backend of the palate. I drink high proof ryes but I don’t feel like ryes need proof as much as bourbons to get their point across. I’m perfectly fine with drinking a 100 proof rye neat, with bourbons I feel like they get a bit watered down unless they are higher proof.

Definitely worth the $30

Allocation shelf at the Chevron was empty today. I think word is out.

What did they have? My spot had blantons gold, EHT Rye and EHT SB but all secondary. I’m not paying secondary. I feel like by next year all this stuff will be shelfers.

What did they have?
In that area there were various 1792s. Nothing at all from BT.

I mean in general. What do they typically have?

Lately there's been a mixture of Blanton's, EHT(SB and SB) and Eagle Rare. Last week I got my first ever Antique 107.

I may pop a high proof rye 2day

JD Rye old fashioned. 132 proof OF is pretty good.

I’m curious about that sazerac 100 in an OF. Regular 90 proof is my favorite rye for one.
