Any of you familiar with Chattanooga whiskeys? I had the BIB last night as part of a flight, and liked it enough to buy a bottle. All I can find is the 91, 111 and Founder's. Any guidance here?

I hear the founders is good but I’ve never had it. I’ve seen it at Total Wine a handful of times.

So I stopped at a liquor store in the state of Washington. Extremely good selection but wayyyyyyy over priced and I wasn’t paying that.
EHT Barrel Proof 399.00
EHT SINGLE Barrel bonded 286.00
EHT Small Batch 256.00
Stagg 370.00
Elijah Craig 18 year 518.00
Elmer T Lee 360.00
Wait for this one
Weller Special Reserve 120.00
Weller 107 167.00
Weller 12 year 256.00
And that’s why everything was still on that shelf, I went to the grocery store and got me some knob creek 12 year for 65.00

That’s what I’ve heard.

I haven’t been buying much off the shelf lately, but I need to grab some shelfies. Sagamore Double Oak, Wild Turkey 8yr, etc…

I was in flagstaff, AZ over the weekend. Gassed up and went inside to grab some gum for the road and there were 6 EHT small batch sitting on the shelf. I knew they had to be high because you never see them on the shelf around here and if you do, they are $120. These were $69. Went to a liquor store and they had a couple dozen on the shelf, $63.

I keep hearing these legends but every small town I've been in has had secondary pricing. Was in Vermont and Connecticut and checked several liquor stores and they did have stuff you don't see much around here. But it was crazy prices.

Much of the other stuff was higher than I was willing to pay. Eagle rare $50, WSR $60, RR13 $265, etc…
Flagstaff Liquor on Route 66 had good selection at good pricing, but the gas station I stopped in was the Mobil on Butler Ave, right off of I-40.

It is interesting to me to see the price differences in different places. While both stores I stopped in had EHTSmB priced somewhat fairly, the KC12 was $97.

Blantons, ER and EHT SB are essentially shelfers at this point.

It's rare that I buy a backup before my first bottle is half empty, but I did with this one. I can't name a better value period.

I bought two bottles to give one to my buddy for his Bday but now I'm debating how much I like him.....

Saw one of the shelf at Rouses this past weekend, I couldn't tell you the last time I saw one before that. It was $39.99, I left it there but told my friends about it and one of them picked it up.
