Might be a stupid question, but where la my best bet to find a few bottles of ER?

My uncle bought a couple cases a few years ago and we've been out for quite some time. Everywhere I check around the BR area, I need to become a member and attend tastings and whatnot, but I don’t hit that side the river but once or twice a month, maybe. Anywhere gets a batch often?

You just have to:

A. Get lucky and be at the right place at the right time.

B. Know someone at a liquor store that will sell you some

C. Pay an inflated price on the secondary market.

I enjoy ER and will give it as gifts sometimes, so whenever I happen to be in a store and I see it for a reasonable price ($40 and under for me), I’ll grab a bottle. I had a bottle of bowman brothers for the first time a few weeks back and the taste reminded me a lot of ER.

I tried to get Bus to go.

I ended up at Four Seasons bar after and closed down the bar all on Michters tab. I guess i thought i was 25 years old again.

Seemed like a great idea at the time until all of Saturday happened to me. It wasn't even a hangover...it was more like a total body punishment.

Eta: This also prevented my acquiring some delicious Maker's picks. I will remedy that this weekend.

I suspect that it's because old fashioneds were muddled in the glass back in the day.

Eta: now they tend to skip that in favor of a vigorous stir.

exactly why I knew I couldn't make it to Lafayette if i went. Oh well, I'll be sure to join next time.

If anyone looking for a good deal on bourbon, New Orleans Costco had this old Christmas stock on clearance the other day. Not sure if they have any left.

3 bottles of 375mL
