I have marked everyone down. My goal is to get a bottle to everyone who has bought multiple bottles over a couple barrels. it's a lofty goal and depends on my allocation.

I will assume everyone wants one and will offer it to you when I get it based on bottles purchased (especially over multiple barrels), help with muling previous picks, etc.

More barrels are coming (at least 2 more this year), so I can open up to different (new) people in the future. However, from this point forward, someone that I know has to vouch for any new person.

I was about to ask how it was. What didn't you like about it?

Smells great, tastes terrible. Had that bottle left over from a blind tasting with 11 of us the other night. It scored dead last among the 3 wheated bourbons. If you’re anywhere near Vicksburg I’ll gladly give you the rest of the bottle.

2pd. First taste of this Saz.

And if you don’t know, popcorn and whiskey are a dynamite after dinner snack.

Taste is very subjective. And it can change depending what you had before it. With that said it’s not great but I have had worse. It’s young. That is my issue with a lot of today’s bourbon it’s all young. Gone are the days of bottom self 10 12 year old bourbon.

T00f, how’s Justice? I saw that bottle twice and in two different locations. I passed. Was wanting to sample before I pulled the trigger. You getting another one when it runs out?

I agree with this, but 11 of 11 of us chose it dead last. We score each pour and average our scores for each one at the end of the night. Out of the 40+ Bottles we’ve tried over the last year this one scored the lowest of them all. I gave it another chance tonight and still was unimpressed.

Oh yea...I wasn’t saying it could possibly be good. Just referring to when you see other say they liked it. I have had worse. Not sure what tho. LA1 is pretty low. Stag JR first batch was pretty Awful too.

Pretty safe with that assumption I’d say hahahaha. I’m sure I’ll be picking up atleast 1 bottle of Belle Meade tomorrow along with something else but would still have room for a bottle of the Blantons if possible.

Just so there is no ambiguity, I’m down for any new barrel you get.

strong oak you would expect from a 16-17 year. It's Dickel but it's very good. Bottle is $90.

Gotcha. Is it a bottle you will replace once gone? A few months ago I got a barrel pick of some regular Dickel from Martin’s. I really enjoyed it.

Nice job on the Blantons pick TA! Your ER pick is excellent and I’m sure the Saz will be too!!
