Good evening. The Saints have a way of putting me in the mood for higher proofs.

How is the new Red Breast Tawny Port Finished? I love RB 12 and also love port-finished stuff but I am having a hard time justifying paying $200 for it. I saw it on Total Wine's website in the Houston area for $115 just a few weeks ago.

I've only had one pour, but was impressed. It's not 200 kind of good, but 115 is fair if you get the opportunity again.
I'll be doing a blind with the lustau and px soon and will report back.

RB Iberian blind to start. They're all 92 proof so that won't be a factor.
Update: the sherry finishes were a clear step above the tawny port. I gave the slight edge to Lustau for its complexity. It also has an oak note that the other two don't. The PX is dessert, and I could see myself choosing that based on mood.

Thoughts on the BMSB? Seems BTD has bottled up some decent budget priced bourbons with the BM series. Full Proof, Single Barrell, Bonded, Small Batch and Top Floor. I've tried FP and Bonded and both or damn good for the price point.

2PD not a huge fan of Jefferson’s but this is solid. It’s probably 6-8 year bourbon but the oak notes hit like 12 year old juice.

It reminds me of those butter cookies with that red jam pressed on top in the middle. These ones
