Evening fellas.
FPD. I think I’m gonna do an infinity bottle with these EC barrel proofs. Will likely throw in Larceny BP as well to go with a Heaven Hill theme.

Have you had peated scotch before?
If you haven't, I wouldn't go right into the big 3 from the Kildalton shore.
If you have and enjoy them, Wee Beastie is only a five year old, so it's gonna be very strong with peat and a lot brighter than the classic ten. The ten will have had time to mellow a bit more and become more rounded. Wee Beastie will be really peaty and really sweet fruit behind it.
I have a bottle of Lagavulin 16 that I really like. It took a few tries but last time I poured something clicked.

I like Laphroaig.

No reason for hate.
It might be a notch below some other Islay whiskies, but it is still a good one.

Hahaha
I'd give you my bottle. Tried it twice but it's not my thing. The cigarette finish hangs around too long

Bruh. I need that cabinet.

Wife found one from antique shop in Denham. When we went look at it, it was much smaller than she thought and she saw this one and didn’t have to convince me much to get the one with more space for more bottles.

Did you refinish that yourself?
I did for mine, pretty fun project. (I think I have 5 times the bottles and much higher quality since I took this pic

I did not. The store did I think. Most of their stuff was refinished so I’m not sure if they do it or if it was like a consignment type place. I didn’t ask questions. Was just thinking of what to put it in lol

That’s also a nice piece. I am working on my 1792 barrel that I will post when I finish it.
So far I have reinforced the metal bands. Cut out the staves for the door while also cutting the metal bands for the same opening. Glued the staves/door together. Sanded down the charred inside.
It is a shite ton of tedious work. Mental and physical. Trying to minimize the mistakes is a bitch. But it’ll be badass when I’m finished. Stay tuned.

ETA. Notice the whiskey line on the staves like a smoke ring on a brisket. My shop smells glorious btw.
