Really trying to cut back on bourbon and beer, but couldn’t help but celebrate today with an Old Fashioned.

Im looking for a rye whiskey for Father's Day enjoyment. He lives in Bible Belt that does not get a lot of selection.
Looking in $70ish range, and somewhat more exclusive to find. He always drinks neat and his usuals are Angels Envy, Basil Hayden, Whistle Pig.
Any rye whiskey suggestions in Baton Rouge are for ~$70?

There are a lot of good ryes under 70. Willett, Rare breed, Pikesville, and Sagamore double oak come to mind immediately.
Sticking with smaller pours tonight. 2nd

Great choice! Got to Louisville late this afternoon, hitting the bourbon trail over the next four days. Went to Kroger this evening to get Evan Williams SB and Johnny Drum. BT in the AM, to kick it off.

And on this day, I discovered Smokewagon and Weller SR are off allocation. I also discovered BT is going to de-allocate a couple other pretties by end of summer.
Was nice grabbing an ER and Weller SR (liter) for $67 total.

I haven't had anything else from them, but the cigar rye is enjoyable.
Starting with a cocktail today. Added a little cherry smoke.
