How many of you drink "flavored" whiskey? Honey, etc. I know people that craze over it but to me good ole regular bourbon is the best by far

Was gonna enjoy one last pour of Blanton's tonight but it was far less left in the bottle than I thought, so I finished it then reached for the Buffalo Trace. Only one pour of it left too

Damn the luck

Benchmark Peach is amazing. Probably the GOAT, to be honest

i would say 50% of my drinks are flavored
we all add flavors every time you put bitters, 7-up, ginger ale, coke, sugar cubes, cherries etc..
hell i love my neat pours but thats only the other 50%

and yes Benchmark peach is the GOAT!

Ok I know others have debunked it before but after being told by the guys at Bin Q yesterday (in a VERY confident way I might add) that Weller Antique is no longer produced I felt the need to email Buffalo Trace directly. Here is the response I got.

"Hello

Yes we still do make our Antique 107 but it appears it is extremely limited there in Louisiana (only 3 cases were distributed there). You can try some on-line retailers but you will need to check if they can ship to your state. Hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Nan Harnice"

There you have it. So next time anyone in town tells you its no longer made you can inform them they are wrong. Wish I had this info yesterday.

Actually Broke into some Russel's Reserve. Already have a bottle of the 12 open. Saving the one I just got to make some poor man's pappy when I track down some Antique

I wish I enjoyed neat pours more than I do. I find I prefer whiskeys to have something added to them (preferably as an OF).

i wish I didn't enjoy them so much. I'd have way more $ in my pocket if all I drank was cocktails, id stock nothing but BT and baby saz.

Well, the difference between our situations is the sheer size and quality of your collection. I've tasted several whiskeys that I WOULD drink neat on the reg.....I just don't want to shell out the kind of $$ necessary to do so at the moment.

Agreed. We need a big belt buckle revival.

For my fellow thread n00bs that had no idea what this meant, I give you this explanation from TheDude:
