Looking forward to trying this Lot no. 40, tracked down 2 bottles today. Whiskey Asvocate has it rated as their #2 whisky for the spring. I saw a bottle of their #1 bottle for the spring, the Buffalo Trace Experimental Collection while I was there. Am I an idiot for not picking it up too haha. only a 375 ml bottle. O, how do I post a picture for my phone? New at this

That's the spirit! Haha. I'm bringing the same bottle back to the Platte tomorrow. We all know the selection there is "limited" if you will.

I think with them aging in port barrels and rum cask they are putting their own "signature" on a mass produced rye. Some of the other small bottlers just putting it straight into their bottles though. Should have went after Bulleit.

I think the plan is to make mixed drinks with it and list others drink if they want a "taste". People might not be impressed with the quality of Pappy after tomorrow night...

I think the nola air alters it actualy. It never tasted the same down here. I'll be on the streets for it tomorrow...no dome foam for me. I pour it in a bottle and then swirl it around and usualy pour a glass and stick the bottle in the cabinet till next time.
That's going to be intresting to see how that AE thing pans out.
