Looking at 5 year old Barrel Bourbon. Have never tried it so I was wondering if any of you could give your opinion on it.
This might have been overlooked as I never got an answer here. Was hoping one or two of you could help a fellow bourbon lover out with a short review, if you've tried it.

All depends on preference. If I'm only using rind/skin, I just squeeze a little of the oil out of it. I find that if you muddle the rind too much, you get too much bitterness.

Bought some drinking equipment yesterday. I think I'm ready!

I've never had it, but I'd be wary of it and probably won't buy a bottle unless I try it first. It seems to be another of these companies that source their whiskey from someone else and dress it up and charge a premium for it.

Watch out
Sometimes the glassware can become an obsession in and of itself.

Any idea when we should set up the next tasting?

Preferably BEFORE the baby is born. It won't be nearly as easy to get a hall pass to go drinking afterwards.
