FINALLY got to try some ETL this weekend
New bar/restaurant opened up in town. Specializing in bourbon and the food is cajun/creole.
Really enjoyed the ETL. Still can't find a damn bottle of it here though

Yep get a empty 750ml bottle (or bigger) and put 325ml of each in the bottle...cork it...mix it around some...and wait at least a few days but some say 2 weeks.

only a $1000 vitamix will work

That's what I was expecting! Glad it's only have to be shaken a bit

Yep just a little shaking...its the chant and dance steps that are most important.

The best part about hosting a bourbon tasting? The candy store effect. All those bottles I had been saving are now open and this kids candy store is open.

Cracked my 12-107 50/50 tonight (2.5 weeks post mix).
Friday will be 2 weeks since my mix, although I did revise mine and made it 60/40 Antique to 12.

I went to Costco the other day and they looked like they had a decent selection of whiskey. Anybody confirm who is more knowledgable?

meh... they have an average selection but their prices are good. from what ive read every once in a while something good will show up there. a couple weeks ago they had about 10 cases of Bookers 25th. Dunno if its still there as i havent been back.

I'm not that knowledgeable on "good" whiskey.
I just do Jim Beam in my mixed and Glenlivet 12 for sippin'. I'm a total noob.
