Truthfully, I had no idea. I have a regular old 50 hour a week kind of job and don't get to spend a lot of time keeping tabs on such things. But thanks for the tip of the hat. Guess that will create a real dilemma for everyone that had a relationship built with him at Alexanders, all the while saying they would never set foot in that other store.

I think I like it.

Lol... you clearly think I'm losing sleep about where I get booze. Funny that you "dont keep tabs on such things" because of your grueling 50 hr a week job but you pop in here everytime Calandros is mentioned. I liked going Alexanders because the craft beer and liquor selection was good and it was near my office. I got limited bottles from just about every store in town last year. I'll continue to do the same

Um, hold the phone there gent.

I spoke to him briefly the other day when I was in Calandro's regarding the situation and it sounded to me like he was unhappy with management at Alexanders's and it was HE who approached Calandro's about going back to work there (you did know he used to work there, right?).

So maybe you should try verifying before you go ignorantly throwing out accusations in a petty effort to paint Calandro's in a negative light.

Lol... The lurkers take this shite SO seriously. Thanks for the info "gent"

And yes I'm aware of the specifics. Not really into discussing someones personal work history on the Internet anymore

The lurkers

Who died and left you in charge of this thread? Guess it's kind of slow right now with limited releases this time of year for the self-anointed ones in this thread to be able to post their hoists. Or is it heists?

No matter. I follow this thread, post occasionally, but it went from a really good thread initially to a "mine is bigger than yours" better suited for the Outdoor Board than here. On second thought, the guys over there are generally a really cool group-I apologize for the comparison. I've largely quit posting because the self-congratulations have made reading it too painful for finding the occasional discussion about the merits of a particular release or trying to help a newbie find a good starter bottle. I'm amused and disgusted all at the same time by you acting like you decide who should be or shouldn't be posting in this thread.

I still don't get all the animosity. This is an appreciation thread. I appreciate good bourbon...it takes great effort to get some of them. If I post a pic of my heist, haul, purchase, barters, 211's how is that me trying to prove something is big or little. I'm just sharing experiences with like minded people.

As for Ben he was good to me at Alexander's...I preferred the atmosphere there vs the 2 times I was in calandros. No matter tho if that's where he then that's where I'll shop. If he wasn't happy at the old job but is now good for him.

Y'all gonna make me drink up in hur
