Not surprised... It was delicious and the cheapest I've ever seen ec12.

There was no display, just some for sale in the midst of all the others.

Been in an Elijah Craig mood lately... This one may be over priced but it really is a damn good pour

I was at a buddy's tonight and didn't take any pics, but I was right there with you:

1. Hirsch Small Batch
2. Koval Millet
3. Knob Creek Single Barrel 9 year
4. Parker's Heritage Blend of Mashbills

'Twas a good night!

Yeah, that part about talking about a mix for some of the later JPS 18's got a bunch of folks fired up. I overall like their product, but I wasn't a fan when they kept the JPS line going with crap other than SW b/c they fooled a bunch of people thinking they were getting SW product. I'll keep getting their stuff b/c it's often interesting and a good product overall, but I also think they're overpricing some of their older products. That's probably just the nature of the beast now, though.

all that was said was " some of the higher batch numbers had 70% SW and 30% of an older rye" The rye was added to cut some of the over wooded sw stock

I really wish that jefferson would just say where a bottling came from. JPS 17 and most of JPS 18 came from sw stock but the rest is unknown.

wait wait wait... so they started mixing rye based bourbon with the S/W wheated bourbon???

If so, THAT is specifically why I stay away from NDP.

they never will because in a lot of cases their consumers will find out they are just drinking stuff a real distillery didnt want to put in their bottles, in a fancy dressed up bottle
