when you see people referring to the 2 main 4Roses bottlings its SB - single barrel, and SmB - small batch.

Which EH Taylor and what do you like? More sweet or more spicey?

Depends on what you want to spend.

I've only had the Eh Taylor Barrel Proof (which I would not recommend for a novice), but I hear the single barrel is very good.

Weller 12 is very good for the price. I think I remember liking Basil Hayden's, but it's been a long time since I've had it.

I guess I'm not a good person to ask, because I would say get them all.

If it's just for drinking after work at home, I'd say Weller. If bringing to a party, Basil. If sharing with others who like trying different bourbons, EHT.

Weller 12 will be sweater because it's wheated but the Taylor is a better bourbon IMO.

How should I drink it? Rocks? Straight? With water?

you did good with the Weller. It's a good one to start with. I drink almost all wheated bourbons neat. they are softer and sweeter than rye based and can be over-diluted pretty easily

All of the above. Neat first, then a little splash of water, then one or two ice cubes. Then repeat the one you liked the best.

I drink my Weller 12 neat for the reasons gmrkr stated.

@Neauxla, you might want to try to be strategic about this. Go to a bar try a bourbon, high rye bourbon, and a wheated bourbon. Something like buffalo trace, four roses or wild turkey, and Weller12. Don't know if I've seen Weller in a bar though. Once you get that down it'll keep you headed in the right direction.
ETA: I see you already took care of one category.

4R single barrel is deeelicious. I'd start there

4R SB is easily one of my favorites! Top 5 under $40 bourbon without any doubt.

Testing out some stuff tonight. Started with the angels envy I just got. One is supposed to be spicy and one sweet. Both good but I preferred the spicy one. Only had a shot of each with a friend. We both preferred the spicy one....but both were yummy.

Now I'm having some bowman brothers small batch and then I'll try the single barrel version John Bowman. BB is 90 proof and the JB is 100...I really like the BB and can't beat the price of sub 30. I report back
