That was a fast reply...confirmed...it was a typo...and it was distilled at SW. The guy that confirmed it, is the same one that signed that other label pic I posted of the single barrel.
Also the "very old" is the current bottle not the 15yr for the reserve.
I also tried to get him to confirm a 25yr and 30yr but he just said that they are adding some older bottles to there line up in the near future.
Hi Mark, Trey Zoeller, our Master Blender got back in touch with me and said that was a misprint for that batch. It was supposed to read 1991 which was the last year that Stitzel-Weller distilled a product. In relation to the 15 year old Reserve, that was actually discontinued in 2004 and eventually replaced with our current Reserve product which has older juice in there. Kind regards, Danny Daniel Fagan Brand Manager, Jefferson's Bourbon & Irish Portfolio

I was pretty confident I didn't get shammed although im glad to have it confirmed about that date. The guy I got it from is pretty legit and thats where I got the H16 and the blantons barrel proof from among other things.

I got the "Are we opening a liquor store" talk from the wife, so my buying maybe haulted for a couple weeks

On second thought you should listen to her...I'll take any of the pappy/btac you come across in the wild.

After reconsidering, you may be right about the Pappy at Dorignac's...
I know the feeling, but the wife (no pics) has been extremely understanding about our (my) brown liquor stash

I have received all the btac i could get this yr. I got one stagg and one er17. I have my feelers out to my regular stores on pappy but I am not getting a positive vibe. We all have those guys intown that offer to pay $400 plus a bottle, because money is no object to them. So i dont like my chances on pappy

That stinks...I hope that a few of my places take care of me over the ones willing to overpay. I have a good feeling about a cpl of them but that doesn't mean they will get any pappy.

Stopped by Dorignac's today, picked up an OGD 114 ($20) that many here are fond of...
Here's a few other notables I saw in case anyone is interested:
Parker's Heritage ($89)
Elijah Craig 21 ($149)
Elijah Craig 20 ($149)
EH Taylor Barrel Proof ($70...had 2 other EH's, single barrel and small batch I believe, don't recall pricing)
Elmer T. Lee ($79 )

I don't get why? I have never had a problem getting it?

Wow, every price other than Elmer looks pretty good.

I bought EH single barrel from there, it was $70. They have had ET Lee priced like that for months, probably the same 2 stupid bottles that haven't moved for months

I have the brandy one. It's pretty good for the price. It's a bit sweeter than a good bit of them with the addition of the brandy, but there's just enough spice to keep it interesting.

That er17 is scary low. I hate that feeling
