Maaan you dont know how much ive been resisting biting the bullet and getting a new one on BX. Scarey is right. I love ER17.
I guess I should just do it because its available on BX now and I know none is coming to La. Hate paying 150 for it though.

Same here, but took a chance on it on a recommendation from one of the local stores.

Man I bet that ER17 as a 125 proof single barrel would be f'n awesome

So someone wants to trade me a different single barrel of JPS18 for one of the ones I have. I think I might just to have 2 different ones....im thinking the higher bottle number since the sticker is in perfect shape. Being from the same barrel it should taste exactly the same right?

Yea same barrel will be the same

You would think they would taste the same. I am in the same boat with my 4r sb 2013 - exact same barrel and consecutive numbered bottles.

You definitely need to let me help brake that up once I get another 125yr
I didn't know if one had an argument like the early bottles had more sediment/flavor if drained from the bottom first or some crap like that lol.

I could see how some bottles may have more sediment in them but as far as taste is concerned i think it's going to be so close you cant tell. Those barrels get moved around enough in transport from the warehouse to the dumping room that everything in them i'd imagine is mixed pretty good.

I wonder if it will be cheaper with the SN filed off the bottle

Any particpate in the Single Oak Project from Buffalo Trace where they are attempting to find the "perfect" conditions for aging bourbon? Sounds interesting, but also sounds like a marketing ploy.
