That guy is exactly what is wrong with the bourbon secondary market. He does nothing but push the bubble higher and higher every week.

We all do. I'm hoping that the next big thing just happens next year and then he can't sell all his stuff except for at a huge loss then loses all his retirement funds and his house and the wife leaves him and ends up on the streets with nothing but his pappy 23 that he won't take less than $1500 for....

Ok that was dark, but I still don't like that guy.

To follow up, I bought a bottle of The Glenlivet (since I knew I like it already) and a bottle of Glenmorangie to do a taste test.

Honestly, I could not tell much difference in taste, but The Glenlivet had a caramel/vanilla smell that was very nice.

What else might I look for as I begin exploring single malts? Starting with these two.

P.S. I dont' know how you guys do this thread. It seems more like first beer of the day except First Whisky of the Lifetime. Seems very hard to have a discussion about anything specific.

He's a huge problem but people are dumb enough to buy it so... A PVW15 Sold for $1000 day before yesterday

If you ever see me posting bottles, it's to get $$ to buy more. I sold a saz18 which I'm not crazy about to get a 125th.. Prob my favorite bottle to date.

He's a finance guy from Ohio that treats bourbon like the stock market. He buys extremely low and then flips higher than the highest price out there just to manipulate the market.

Not sure where he lives but he's this guy on one of the fb groups. He just sells the most ridiculous stuff. His pricing is always on the high side and he sells a lot of stuff. He will snag any decent deal he sees and then put it up for sale 6 months later for 30% more. Yeah that's capitalism and I get it but at the same sense, he's pretty lame. He just flips everything and he's one of the reasons prices go up so I don't like him.

I use to be that way, but now when I sell its for one of 2 reasons.

1. To get money for other bottles.
2. Flood insurance rate hikes are a mutha fricka, lol

Glen 15...not sure how it compares to the two you got already becasue I have not tried them either but the Glen 15 (and 12 for that matter) were the first two single malts that made me say...this aint so bad (like JW blue )

None for me tonight - trying to fight off a cold. Hopefully back to the good juice for the LSU game.
