Thanks to this board I discovered Smooth Ambler 10 Bourbon and Smooth Ambler Rye 7...2 great pours.

I may have found a source for these also.

Well haaaaapy birfday! October bdays killing it!

TA I have not had a bad smooth ambler yet to be honest. I'd have a few differ expressions. Some rye some bourbon. Barrel proofs. Store picks. So far so good!

Time to try out my theory on the 97 and sour mash.

Very close in taste and smell. Little
More burn from a little more proof of the 97. Idk if it's that or what but maybe a slight nod to sour mash when doing back to back taste. But they are real close in flavor...to me.

I found the shoe and belt lacking in both

Im gonna say that the state got more than 21 bottles of OFBB. The only way that is true is if only New Orleans and Baton Rouge got it and no restaurants or bars got any.

Havnt cracked my bottle of EC18 yet but plan on it when the Tigers beat the Elephants so I will report back then

It could be just for retail. I should get them to clarify.

Going to go ahead and agree with what a few of you are saying about the Forester. 1870 is pretty good but the 1897 is better.

I have to say the Smooth Ambler. The Eagle Rare is really good though.

Good question...I may have to re-visit this during Western Kentucky

The last er10 from martins was real good too. I wonder if they can do a saos pick...may look into that.

The eht rye and this is soooo different. Have enjoyed all saos. Might have to open a wfe 2 year. Seem to think it's more like the sa but sweater. Not AE sweet tho.

Not sure how many exactly, but at least 18 bottles for the BR market alone.

I know NOLA got more than us. They always do

its sad times when OFBB becomes part of a raffle. Gone are the days when bourbon could actually be seen on a shelf.
