We wanted to say thanks to everyone coming out last night! I know everyone had a blast. We have a great group of bourbon/whiskey guys in this town. Also a big shout out to The Cove, thank you for hosting us. Y'all have a killer selection of the brown juice. It's definitely the best in town! And man, that Sour Mash is so tasty. I know a group of us almost took that bottle down, awesomeness. Can't wait for August so we can get together again! For the guys that came last night, were y'all satisfied with everything? Is there anything we need to change? Any advice helps us so please share your thoughts.

Thanks BSoBR for putting the event together.

My thoughts.
1. I'm looking forward to the Four Roses we talked our way into buying.
2. I liked the fact that there wasn't a piano playing. Last time at L&K it was pretty loud to try and talk to anyone.
3. The Taylor was delicious.
4. It would be fun to try a dinner with pairings at some point. I am sure that if we discuss it was a restaurant first, they will let us put together a menu (tasting or otherwise) and let us pair bourbons with it. We could probably convince them to allow us to bring our own bottles with a little negotiation.

Na. Picked clean from boca to PB gardens, at least at the stores I've visited.

Occasionally they get a few bottles of antique but no 12.

That is definitely on our radar for this year. We have a few ideas we want to pursue as we get more popular. For now we are just trying to gauge interest in it and see what type of following we can get. See who are the people that are really serious about this so we can try and do the specialized events.

Good thoughts though, I definitely concur that it's much easier to talk without music playing. That's something we will keep in mind for future events.

I think Beausoleil would be a great place for it. Guys there are into bourbon and the chef makes some great food. They have their own Barrel Select of Four Roses in house.

I just got back from Italy and flew thru the Paris airport (CDG). I looked in a lot of liquor shops and in every Duty Free shop I passed. The only bourbon I saw was Jack Daniels and Jim Beam white label. Lots of scotch though.

In my travels I have seen almost no bourbon.

There is lots of scotch that can't be found in the US. One can even find good scotch in the duty free shops.

Buy some scotch... It's better than bourbon anyway...
