Very much so. It funds my bourbon habits. I made nearly $2000 on garage/estate sale finds just last weekend. I’ve made about $300 this weekend

FPD: Macallan 12 (give your wealthy BIL a couple homemade cigar stave coasters for his birthday, he gives you a bottle of Mac 12 just because!!!)

2PD: I’m in the garage, rubbing oil on and playing with my beautiful wood, all while having a Handy!!!

I am planning on not building me another bourbon barrel cabinet (I keep selling it). This piece of 4x6 cypress (or pine) is going to be my bourbon display shelves above my bar.

3PD, 4PD, 5PD, 6PD.....
GTS
OGD114
1964 Hand Selected Makers Mark (dick ointment)
CoK batch 3
2001 Knob Creek Small Batch, batch #47
A couple other things, I forget what what we tasted

I’ve recently discovered a guy in my neighborhood, who is a major bourbonhead. He doesn’t post here but is a member of the BSoBR. I texted him this evening, jokingly asking him when are we going to have a drink. I told him I was in the garage, fricking with bourbon barrels, and for him to bring a couple bottles.
10 minutes later, he is knocking at my door with a GTS and OGD114. Next thing I know, we are sampling my CoK3, 1964 Dick Ointment, and a few other things.
It’s amazing how great it is to sit back, enjoy small samples of different bourbons, and shooting the shite.
Thanks Mark G.!!!!

If the board had to choose between russel's reserve or Wild Turkey rare breed, what would be teh consensus? I'm starting to expand my whiskey selections at home. I've been pretty steady on only buying Eagle Rare, EH Taylor Small batch, Buffalo Trace, and occasionally Elijah Craig.
My most recent purchase was Old Forrester 1920. It's strong as hell, but is pretty damn flavorful once you add a little water. I typically drink my bourbon with 1 or 2 ice cubes, with this, i did a couple ice cubes, plus a couple oz. of water. I get a lot vanilla out of this bourbon.
My brother tells me rare breed is very heavy on caramel notes, and that seems like my jam. I went to distiller.com to find the stuff i like, and find things similar, and the russels reserve single barrel popped up.

That is a tough call. I may give a slight edge to Rare Breed. Both are great.
