I’m new to this thread and as a bourbon enthusiast, I’m really loving it. Question for you guys on the Old Forester products. I have a bottle of 1870 Original Batch that is almost out. I really love it, but I see you guys are drinking Old Fine Whiskey and Prohibition Style. They also make a Bottled in Bond. Which one should I pick up as a replacement?

As a side note, my collection is right at 20 bottles. W12 and WA are my two hard to find bottles. No Pappy unfortunately.

FPD after some wine w the wife... a nip of damn fine rye... nice way to kick off my 30th bday weekend

And to answer your questions... the prohibition style is a higher proof but still very balanced IMO. The old fine is a double oaked and is very heavy on the oak flavor. A few pages ago I described it as a better woodford double oak buf same style... either one is an EXCELLENT bottle. Enjoy!
