It would be hard for me to choose 1910 or 1920. They are both spectacular for what they are. 1910 is a low proof cherry oak bomb, while 1920 is a high proof flavor explosion. It all depends on what you're in the mood for. Regardless, you're getting good juice. So it's win-win.

Thanks for the recommendations. I have a few high proofs - 1792 Full Proof, KC SB 120, RR SB 110, WA 107, Old Scout 107 so I may get the Old Fine Whiskey, even though it was said it’s similar to WR Double Oaked. I picked up a bottle of that last weekend but haven’t opened it. Thanks again.

Tried these 2 side by side. The Willett 4 year rye held up really well, but in the end, the punch of the 2016 Thomas Handy wins out

Go with the 1920. I would always go with a higher proof in the same line of bourbon if the price is close and I am not sure what to grab, The reason is you can always add water yourself to get the bourbon where you find your sweet spot. I have not had the 1910, but to me the 1920 is every bit as enjoyable as Blantons for the same price and you can find it almost anywhere.

It's actually 2 different taste profiles. Actually the 1910 is better with a couple dollops of water. So adding water to both is possible without dredging quality and taste. If possible both are fantastic to have. Lol
And NP, Count!

I haven't tried the 1910 but I'm a big fan of the 1920.

Piggybacking on Hedge here...any BR folks going to grab the Blanton’s on Monday afternoon?

I’d love a bottle and can Venmo & meet up for the lottery on the 13th

I picked up the 1920 OF Prohibition Style yesterday. I enjoyed a pour and a half last night listening to my other score of the day - a vinyl copy of The Beatles (White Album). I found a vintage copy for $24. Only disappointing thing was there was a scratch on “ Birthday”. Nothing disappointing about the 1920. Thanks!

P.s. I need to figure out how to post pictures, haha

I have the opportunity to buy some Elija Craig 18. Price point is $300. I love other EC styles (barrell proof and small batch). Has anyone had the 18? Worth the price tag?

It’s okay, definitely not worth $300.

You can get it on secondary shipped for around $200-215. Check there before paying $300 if you decide to pull the trigger.

Man excuse my ignorance. Not sure I know what you are talking about. Is there a specific site to check?

No worries. Facebook group is "BSM - Bourbon Secondary Market." Very active group. Prices are generally stupid, but it's good if you just need a bottle and price is not a concern. Or in this case, it sometimes beats the price you are at sonehwere else.

Anyone know anything about this? A friend brought it back for me from Scotland. I plan on keeping and drinking it since it was a gift, but just curious. I can't find any info on this particular bottle. He described it as a scotch that a bourbon drinker would enjoy.
