God's work...what a fantastic pour.

Hadn't compared it to 20 or 23, but it killed the 15 yr in a blind taste for me.

Every commander has tough decisions to make. Sometimes you have to leave generals behind and hope for the best. Here are the ones coming with me as we evacuate for Matthew.
[not pictured] a lot of brave soldiers who unfortunately have to stay behind

If the European model is correct and this damn thing loops back and hits us again we might just be heading to Louisiana after I pick up the bottles I'm leaving at my place .

good luck brotha! your priorities are clearly in order! when the water was rising in august the first thing me and the fiance did was move about 70 bottles of whiskey off of an antique hutch that we couldnt raise lol

I have been told that the extreme differential pressure and tide shifts associated with hurricanes make whiskey go bad in the bottles.

You should just sell these bottles to SMS at a steep discount.

Be safe out there.

Hey folks, first time in this thread, and somewhat new to collecting whiskeys. Was able to luck out and find a bottle of Weller 12 on a shelf, get home, pour a bit out and notice a tiny crack on the neck of the bottle about a half inch in length. :(

Am I screwed here with regard to preservation of this bottle or is this just a minor annoyance that is purely cosmetic?

Is it leaking or is it just a hairline crack? Where are you located?

Just a surface crack as far as I can tell. Nothing seeps out.

I'm in NYC, found the bottle at a small wine/spirits store in Manhattan.

I think you will be ok if just a surface crack.
