Although not needed, I appreciate the response. I guess there is a lot I don’t get about private Facebook groups. I just saw the rules posted saying no buying, selling, trading but knew the group was buying bottles from barrels bought. I guess technically as you described it, the barrel is bought from the distillery by a large group and the price they pay is determined by the bottles they want. I’m not here to bust anyone’s chops, if I don’t like something I just move along. That being said, I wish trades were allowed (bottle for bottle) but again... I don’t know all the legalities and shite that goes with big groups. Plus there are other groups designed around trading so all good. Eventhough I haven’t gotten any bottles, I’ve met some new friends from the site so it’s been a win for me.

Last year I went silent caroling with Ryno and he poured amaretto in his nog.

Not sure if my previous post got run past but had anyone here tasted both the JD Barrel Proof Rye and the WT Rare Breed Rye? I was wondering if they were similar at all. I’m a fan of Ryes but would prefer to taste the JD before purchasing. I was going to buy the Angles Envy Rye but tasted it first and although it was full of flavor...I didn’t like the minty chocolate I was picking up. So I was happy to not have dropped $85 on a full bottle. Again it was full of flavor but just not to my liking. Now the WT Rare Breed Rye I love so that’s why I’m asking about the JD Rye compared to it.

Pure happenstance all the inner circle “lucked” into the paltry few bottles he trickled out when he realized that anyone that pays attention to the market over the past decade thinks he’s a giant POS. Keep shilling for him buddy, I’ll just shop local and pay secondary if I just have to have something I can’t get from my neighborhood store.

Yes sir! Total recovery of taste and smell. Man that was some scary times. (Edited to add that the scary times was not being able to appreciate my bourbons/scotches due to no taste or smell. It took weeks to get that back. I was always very much ok as far as the virus part fortunately) But yeah absolutely man. I’m on vacation until Jan. 4th. Let’s make it happen and grab a few others to come too. Will be in touch.
