@Toof, is that the Makers 46 cask strength that Costco has? Or other places have it?

I have only seen it at Costco and it looks like they are on low inventory

What are you waiting on?
You can't go wrong with anything from High West.

Great buys! High West has become my favorite distillery. What you get for the price of those two bottles is hard to beat IMO. Their rendezvous rye is amazing, but it's a higher price point. I haven't tried campfire yet.
If you can find one of your local stores having their barrel pick of that Doube Rye, grab it. It's absolutely amazin. My understanding is each store's barrel pick is aged 9 months in their selected wine barrel. I got mine from Acquistipace, and it was 9mo aged in Syrah. I talked to someone who had it from Martin's a few month back, and that was aged in a Zin (I believe that's what he said)
You should check out Pinhook as well. They do some really interesting blends. You will definitely like their ryes and bourbons.

I started one of these a few months back by my friend's suggestion. It's about half full right now. I save my last pour from my sippers and dump it in. What are your thoughts on your finished result? I believe in the end it will be a neutral flavor due to so many bourbons mixing in, but I am very curious to see the end result. I doubt I will do this again though, unless I am wrong in my expectations.
By the way, I like your idea for an old fashioned. I will try that out

Long time lurker on this particular board, and I think my first FPD. Picked of a lot of good stuff just looking at the different stuff showing up in this thread. Today was allocation day in Alabama and decided to go search through the leftovers. Pretty big fan of EC in general so thought I’d give this a try. Bottle says small batch and the label says single barrel so not sure exactly what to make of it. Either way, pretty damn tasty.

What bottle? It may be typically a small batch bourbon that the ABC store selected a single barrel of. My buddy is in AL so I had looked at the lottery list the stores did.

Shoot, is the picture not working? It says EC small batch on the bottle. The sticker at the bottom says “single barrel selected by: ABC Spirits 8 YR Old.” Then the barrel number and location.
ETA: I think I’m along the lines of it usually being a small batch and they selected a single barrel of it as well.

No pic is showing on my end.
That is exactly it EC is usually a small batch but they do single barrel programs a lot.
