What is a fair price for the Old Scout Rye Cask Strength? Cheapest I’ve seen online is around $100.

49.99 retail 80 plus or not shipped in secondary.

ETA. There are four on a shelf near me as well. Not sure if there is a back channel page on here but we need one if not. Not trying to make money from td but interested in reasonable retail trades. I’d love some store picks from outside my area.

Would trading be considered against the rules here? I just posted on a Facebook group and traded off one of my extra Balcones Single Malt Bourbon Fest picks for a Weller 107. It’s nice to meet people in person through the bourbon/whisky market who share the same interests.

The beer thread does trades all the time. What's the difference over here?

bullshite

People will exchange emails vs posting a beer and asking for a trade

And

FBD is daily, this is not

People openly ask other posters for certain beers.

And people offer guitars for sell on the music board.

I guess I just don't see asking for trades as a big deal.

I would love to buy a bottle of 107, but I don't think I could bring myself to spend $120. I've been looking for months with no luck, so if you do wish to part ways with let me know.

I'm replying to midget, but this is really for anyone with some Weller 1o7 or also some EH Taylor. If anyone has some, please let me know

I dont really sell nationally, just local. I do like to trade nationally for picks outside region and would definitely trade OWA's for some Four Roses Barrel Strength picks, and buf trace product picks

At retail with tax $53.50, plus packaging and shipping would be close to the $80-85 one should be able to find local. Plus dealing with potential headaches on breakage, confiscation, etc... not really worth it on a cheaper bottle

Haven't decided yet what my intention is. If I do decide to part, I would never sell high to a fellow TD poster. I'd be down to trade if I do part ways with it. I am trying to get my hands on A Midsummer Night's Dram, another bottle of 4 Roses small batch select (thanks Zappa for my current one!), a Michters toasted barrel, Blantons or EH Taylor.

Currently I am leaning towards just keeping and enjoying this though, since it is so difficult to find now. On the other hand I absolutely love the Wilderness Trail wheated bourbon. Been a long while since I have had this 107, but I think the WT may be better (if memory serves). Plus it's more readily available (for now)
