Haha. You’re a man of better restraint than I. The rest of that bottle would have found its way in that glass if it were me.

3PD

ETA: Just realized I made a super healthy pour there.

Haven’t opened it yet. Once I do I’ll update if I taste anything in particular. I’m not one who can identify notes though. I can taste it something is unique or different, but I’m not able to identify what that is.

How bout it baws?

Question; if I were in search of a very specific bottle date of blantons (from 10/8 of last week), how lucky would I be to find it? Furthermore, how would I go about finding it?

Also, to be clear it doesn’t necessarily have to be blantons. I’m more interested in any and all bourbons with this very specific bottled on date. Speaking with my friend GRTiger, Evan Williams Single Barrel, Henry McKenna and possibly Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit could all have pronounced bottled on dates.

I’m all ears and my wallet is wide open.

It’s at least a Thursday and not Sunday.

Post now and in a few weeks on some of the national Facebook pages. Also email trace and see what states they shipped that days batch. Then Facebook groups from there.

ETA I swear I saw a 10/8/08 McKenna today though. Not sure if year specific

Uhh, last text I got from him was 2 days ago. He’s his normal self unless I missed something.

Yes, I was told this would be tough without Facebook.

Thanks for the tip on emailing them. Just did and already got a reply. All of those bottles ended up at 21 different retailers around Vegas.

Anyone in Vegas?

We went out to lunch today at a spot that has an attached liquor store. Went in there afterward, was surprised to see Buffalo Trace on the shelf, had to pick up a bottle.

What's a good $75 bourbon that I can get my boss for Boss's day tomorrow?

Id see if any stores have a Four Roses Single Barrel, Barrel Strengths store picks at that price point but might not be available in your area. But really you dont need to spend that much. McKenna 10 year, Eagle Rare are both cheaper safe picks if you can find them. If he is a bourbon drinker, stick with the major distilleries, if not pick the coolest bottle you see, not a rye.

Makers Mark private selection (store picked staves) is a good bottle at that price point.
