St. Francisville Inn....can walk to and from the restaurant from your room. Great bar and great food.

Not sure if you can get a room this close to Christmas though.

Covington Mandeville area is a nice area to dine, relax, etc

Caboose as you said or HD Gibbes. If you like the rustic old country store kinda place.

You could head up to the Mallard in Dixie Springs for drinks before or after. They sometimes have live music

Spend a night in Grand Isle and eat at the Hurricane Hole. Or head down to the Coast and spend a night in Bay St Louis.

That is a great place and those guys have done a good job. Food is very well done and the little bar is nice with a great wine list. Only complaint is they close the bar at 10:00pm. Get a room there and if not dinner there go to The Myrtles and then go back for a nice nightcap. Only a mile or so away. Good call and good time of year to be there.
