I'm talking about meat from the animal. For home cooking.

I've heard the little Mediterranean store across Wooddale from Morenita carries goat. But, you must post your cooking. I've been dying to try to cook one.
It is on Florida but not next to Payless. Next to Enterprise or treads and care--that side.

Kaseds International Market at 8129 Florida Blvd.
LINK
You can even get a goat head there.
I picked up some cubed goat for a curry and went back the next week and got a goat leg that I barbecued at my in-laws. Good quality stuff. The owners have a slaughterhouse in South Mississippi, so the goat you're buying there was walking around a day or so earlier.

Was is even halfway refrigerated? That is usually my issue with those small places. Meat sitting in a glass case at 63 degrees.

Every time my dogs escaped in college, they'd run all the way down Bayou Fountain to the pasture full of goats on Gardere by St. Jude. They may sell goats there.

Yeah, it's fine. They run a tight ship over there. The owners have had a meat place in Metairie for years.

LSU dairy store has goat. My buddy had tons of paw cash or whatever at the conclusion of a semester one year and went there to cash them all out before they expired. All they had left was goat, so he ended up with damn near an entire goat and no idea what to do with it

Rouses down here always has goat. Might be a trek to Walker from BR though.
Always had lamb at Alexanders, sure they will order it for you.
