And she only comes back with an onion and a pack of smoked sausage... and you're too drunk to leave the house....
What do you cook?

If you have rice and chicken broth at home, you can make a rice pilaf w/ smoked sausage in it. It isn't really jambalaya but it will scratch the itch and it is very tasty.

Browning onions and sausage. May end up with a drunken sausage jambalaya.

Cook down the onions with some peppers (if you have them) in butter and a little red wine or beer. Add the cut up sausage. Brown the sausage.
Cook some pasta, add olive oil and some seasoning.

Toss the sausage/onion in to the pasta, add some parm cheese.
