I’d have to go with:

Gibson’s (Chicago, IL)
Keen’s (New York, NY)
St. Elmo (Indianapolis, IN)
Sullivan’s (Baton Rouge, LA)

Of the one's I've been to (no particular order):

Bavette's (Chicago)
Nick & Sam's (Dallas)
Crescent City Steakhouse (New Orleans)
Bob's (Dallas)

And before all of the down-votes rain in, I have not been to many steakhouses outside of New Orleans or Dallas. Pretty much only Bavette's.

Which is the only one on his list he’s ever actually been to.

It’s been rumored that I died, but I’m alive and well. Thanks for your concern.

It’s fine. At least you didn’t say the capital grille.

Is Mr. Johns the one on St. Charles. If so, that one wins for me, but granted, I haven’t been to many steakhouses recently.

Went to the cavalrymen in Wyoming as a kid. My dad said that was the best steak he’s had.
