Classic Wonderbread hamburger buns

Brings back memories of driving by the Wonderbread bakery as a kid in Memphis.

Brioche if I'm getting fancy. But to be honest a plain old sesame bun can be elevated with a pad of butter and 30 seconds in the broiler.

How do you guys make the bun perfect?

A few minutes before the patty is done, flip it over and add a slice of cheese on top, if you want cheese, and set the bottom bun on top of the patty.
Heat the top bun in the oven, flat side down, at 350 degrees, til it's lightly toasted.

I usually butter and toast under the broiler, flat sides up. Will try this next time

No butter.. and press the bottom bun down just a bit, for the bun to fully contact the cheese and patty.
