McIntosh apples are god tier. That 1 month window in the fall when we actually get decent ones around here makes life worth living. As a poster above mentioned, they are the best when you pick them yourself at the orchard.

There's a reason Honeycrisp costs twice as much as the other apples in the store... it's the best on a consistent basis.
I've had good empires, macouns, and others.. but I've also had bad ones. I've never had a bad honeycrisp.

I wonder how much the University of Minnesota has made off of them.
They are delicious.

Envy. It was Jazz, but Envy replaced it. Kiku are great too, but I don't see them often.

Ambrosia and opal - though the opals I had this year weren't nearly as good as previous years.

The best Honeycrisp I've ever had was from the Union Square Farmer's Market in New York City, mid-May.
If you're in New York City on a Saturday, check out the Farmer's Market there.

Pink Lady is nice. Lately we have been eating Pacific Rose. Nice and not so susceptible to turning brown on a dish.

If you guys make it to the Eureka Springs part of Arkansas in the fall, buy some Arkansas Black apples. They are really nice, just limited in range.

You guys are missing the boat if you say anything other than Fuji. IMO you just cant beat the combo of crisp and sweet that Fuji offers.
