There's a newer one (past 7-8 years) that's been cultivated in Minnesota (also where the honey crisp was created) called SweeTango. If you haven't already done so, give it a try. They're damn good.

My neighbors have a summer house in Wisconsin and bring me some apples back every fall. It is some type of heritage apple and it's incredible.

Didn't think those would count though...

Granny Smith. They're my favorite to dip into cheese at Melting Pot when we do fondue with my crew.

Honeycrisp is my favorite.

Red Delicious is the worst.

Is there even another answer? I guess Granny Smith hit me right in that nostalgia sweet (sour?) spot, but I don't eat them that often.

Love a Granny Smith

Try an Envy or a Grapple (grape apple hybrid) at Albertsons

Jazz are good but inconsistent IME. Honeycrisps have always been good to me.

I like a good Pink Lady... find myself usually sticking to the basics with Galas though. Honey crisp if I'm feeling rich
