1. Louisiana Hot Sauce

distant second. Tabasco

LA Hot sauce has much more pepper as opposed to vinegar compared to tabasco and crystal. Do this test. get a white napkin or paper towel. Put 1 drop of each sauce on the paper towel. Look at how much vinegar there is compared to pepper in each as it spreads on the paper towel. You can see, and taste, the difference.

For a change of pace I really like this stuff:

It's not a traditional Louisiana hot sauce; it has a smoky depth of flavor and isn't quite as vinegary as most...but it is made in state.

I've always liked Tabasco the best.

Tabasco. Is there another?

Tabasco is just to vinegary for me...

For me its Louisiana and Crystal. That Paul Prudhome's Pepper Sauce isn't bad either.

As a child, this was my favorite on pretty much everything:
Trappey's used to be made in New Iberia, now it's made in Colombia. So maybe it's not a "Real LA hotsauce" but it used to be.

firstly Tabasco vs Crystal/Louisiana/Trappys cannot be compared to each other. Even though they are "hot sauces" they are totally different. I use both Tabasco and Crystal/Louisiana.

Anybody a fan of Evangelines? I haven't had it in a couple of years. How does it compare?
